The review process should assess the reasonableness of the appraisal including valuation methods, assumptions, data sources users, and that the entire report is well supported. Each reviewer is required to stay up-to-date on all required, state-mandated continuing education, with many reviewers licensed in multiple states. We have our appraisal review staff physically situated in a residential appraisal review department and a commercial appraisal review department, each with its own manager who is a licensed appraiser.
The Residential Appraisal Review Department is staffed by both Certified Residential and Licensed real estate appraisers. Each of the reviewers is knowledgeable with all types of properties such as luxury homes, condominiums, acreage, rural, beachfront, multi family, etc… Our residential reviewers have a combined 250+years of appraisal experience.
The Commercial Appraisal Review Department features Certified General real estate appraisers and MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) team members, along with candidates for general review designation with the Appraisal Institute. Our commercial reviewers have a combined 125+ years of appraisal experience within a variety of markets and involving every commercial property type.
