The Valuation Expo 2014 recently concluded in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have attended the event for many years to take advantage of the excellent appraisal education. The opening session panel consisted of Robert Murphy, Director, Collateral and Valuation Policy for Fannie Mae, Gerald Kifer, Supervisory Appraiser for the Veterans Administration, David Burton, President of the Appraisal Foundation, and Robert Frazier, Deputy Director, Home Valuation Policy Division of the Federal Housing Administration. As you can see from this panel line up, Joan Trice and her team attract the elite of the appraisal industry to speak.

Attendance at the event included 500 appraisers and other industry participants. It is a great way to network with other appraisers and just learn how different areas of the country handle appraisal challenges. Even though the temperatures were 104-106 degrees, Las Vegas is always a fun city.

I would recommend all residential appraisers plan now to attend Valuation Expo 2015. As we get information on the event, we will communicate it to you.
