MARIETTA (Feb. 8, 2012) – Valuation Management Group, LLC (VMG) received several awards from the Georgia Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), for their sensational fundraising efforts during the 2011 campaign.

VMG received the Golden Sneaker Award for the second year in a row, for raising $2,500 or more during the walk season. After almost doubling their original goal of $9,000, VMG was awarded the Corporate MVP Award for displaying a strong dedication, in addition to a notable fundraising milestone.

“I am very proud of the VMG team for diligently working to double the money collected over the previous year,” said Vicky Thompson, president and CEO of VMG. “We have learned it is an all year awareness that encourages great donations for the walk.”

In addition to the numerous clients, appraisers, family and friends who contributed, VMG employees held pot-luck luncheons, bake sales and placed change buckets around the office, to raise money that will be used for research to cure type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. In October, VMG employees laced up their sneakers and exhibited their enthusiasm by participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes in Downtown Atlanta.
